Fully prepared Multan Sultans take on experienced Zalmi in HBL PSL final today

Multan Sultans the first-time finalists have overcome tough challenges using a solid approach. They will face Peshawar Zalmi, former champions, in what could be a tight final of the HBL PSL-6 at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium Abu Dhabi on Thursday (today).
The game begins at 9 p.m. PST.
Both teams did well in the playoffs to reach the final.
Multan beat Islamabad United by 31 runs in the Qualifier to reach their first PSL Final. Zalmi, 2017 champions, defeated Karachi Kings by five runs and overtook Islamabad United, two-time champions, by eight runs in the eliminators. This set the final date for Sultans.
Multan’s success story is a testament to their determination and commitment. They won only one game in five games in Karachi, but they were determined to win in Abu Dhabi.

Multan was coached by Andy Flower, former Zimbabwe skipper. They won four consecutive games in Abu Dhabi before losing against United. They finished second due to a better net run rate, despite finishing with ten points less than Zalmi or Kings.

Zalmi made a solid move in introducing Jonathan Wells, an Australian batsman against United on Tuesday. However, The right-hander was unbeaten at 55. Zalmi’s main player will be Shoaib Malik who has scored two fine fifties and a fiery, but brief, knock against United in Tuesday’s eliminator-2. He is fit and can bat under pressure.
