Instagram Announces Upgrades for Direct Messages; Now Available in Pakistan Instagram recently unveiled several upgrades to their Direct Messages (DMs), making them more competitive against established messaging services such as Apple iMessage.

The primary feature of Instagram’s latest update centers on improved music integration, allowing users to seamlessly incorporate songs into conversations through stickers.

This feature makes sharing songs possible both within private and group chats; though be mindful that only songs listed within Instagram’s existing audio catalog and with 30-second previews may be shared.

Instagram recently unveiled an easy translation system supporting 99 languages: simply pressing and holding any message followed by selecting “Translate” brings up instant translation text below the original message.

As part of this update, pinned messages have also been enhanced, allowing users to highlight up to three messages within any chat (text messages, images, or reels) at the top of any discussion thread by holding down on them and selecting “Pin.”.

Instagram recently implemented messaging scheduling capabilities that extend up to 29 days into the future. These capabilities are activated by long-pressing the send button. Group chats may now also be created through QR code sharing.
These features will begin rolling out worldwide for iOS and Android devices today.
