Official Design of New Karachi Stadium Unveiled - Pak Today Info

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially revealed the updated design for the renovated National Stadium Karachi, marking a significant step forward in Pakistan’s cricket infrastructure development. The ambitious project is supported by a Rs. 4 billion investment aimed at modernizing the historic venue.

As part of this initiative, the PCB has agreed with National Engineering Services Pakistan (Pvt.) Limited (NESPAK) to construct a state-of-the-art new enclosure at the stadium.

The upgraded design is intended to meet contemporary international standards while greatly enhancing the overall match-day experience for spectators, players, and broadcasters alike.

Concept visuals shared by the PCB highlight several key features of the new enclosure, including:

Modern seating with improved viewing angles

Exclusive VIP and corporate hospitality boxes

Advanced media facilities for local and global broadcasters

Improved spectator access with upgraded entry and exit points

In addition, the PCB’s Board of Governors has approved a second phase of renovations at the National Bank Stadium Karachi, scheduled to begin after the conclusion of the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11). The Board has also greenlit an Oval-style redevelopment of Lahore’s LCCA Ground.

Looking ahead, the PCB is progressing with plans for a brand-new international-standard cricket stadium in Islamabad. Land has been allocated near D-12, with the proposed design inspired by world-class venues in the UAE.

Furthermore, cricket grounds in Abbottabad and Muzaffarabad have been prioritized for major upgrades for the first time. This move reflects the PCB’s broader vision to expand high-quality cricket infrastructure beyond major urban centers and create a more balanced and inclusive national network of venues.
