PTI Leader Shireen Mazari arrested in Land encroachment case
PTI’s elderly leader and former civil minister for mortal rights Shireen Mazari has been arrested by Anti-Corruption Department Punjab, Islamabad Police said Saturday.
A platoon of the Anti-Corruption Establishment and Dera Ghazi Khan police took her into guardianship in a common operation in the civil capital.
The sources said that she has been arrested in a case related to a property disagreement in Rajanpur.

Attesting the report, her son Imaan Zainab Mazari-Hazir said that the police officers subordinated her mama to torture before taking her into guardianship.
Taking to her Twitter handle, she said, “ Manly police officers have beaten and taken my mama down. All I’ve been told is that Anti Corruption Wing Lahore has taken her.”

The development was also verified by PTI’s Iftikhar Durrani who took to Twitter and said, “ Dr Shireen Mazari has been picked up outdoors from her house a while agone, everyone must reach Police Station Kohsaaar!”
‘ Similar tactics will strengthen our movement’
However, Condemning her arrest, former innards minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad said that similar tactics will strengthen their movement.
He said that the government has changed the police officers in Islamabad and other metropolises. “ PTI Chairman Imran Khan could also be arrested,” stressed Sheikh Rasheed. Therefore, He said that PTI’s workers are being arrested across the country.
