SRG Kashmir Premier League breaks all viewership records on Digital

Since its inception, the SRG Kashmir Premier League has been praised by all levels of society. It has become Pakistan’s most viewed live sport event on Digital, with over 5.6 million views in its first day.

Despite one rain shower, the league managed to get 15 million views within the first five matches. RawalKot Hawks, headed by ShahidAfridi, and MirPur Royals, led by Shoaib Maklik, were the most watched opening matches for any tournament on digital media.

ZohaibHisam (CDO Blitz Group broadcast partners KPL), commented that “This is really an unexpected twist of events – although the general air among media/advertising circles regarding the event was mixed but it is really refreshing seeing that the nation is behind the league, all guns blazing.”

Although MNCs initially remained skeptical about the tournament’s participation, they are now seeing that things are changing. We want to thank Pakistani homegrown brands for their support. Particularly, our Digital partners, Bank AlHabib and Fatima Fertilizer Group, Hamdard Pakistan and Tapmad TV. Our sponsors and technology/broadcast partner Jazz TV, Jazz Cricket and Goonj, Crickwick, Socioon, and Jazz Cricket.

The tournament will be held at Muzaffarabad Cricket Ground. Live TV is available on Geo Super (local + US/UK), and PTV Sports. Digital broadcasts are available on BSports.pk (parent carrier), Facebook, KPL Official Channels and Jazz TV, Jazz Cricket.

With SR Group taking nomenclature rights, on-ground participation has been refreshing. Along with 12+ brands (key partners such as ServisTyres, United Industries (Kashmir Group), Super Asia, and PSO) and energising crowd attendance cricket has certainly arrived in Kashmir.

Crowds will flock to the stadium to see their favorite rivalries, while Azad Jammu and Kashmir cheer them on. Therefore, This tournament is a welcome breath of freshens air in the region and a shining example of how sports diplomacy could be used to promoting world peace.
