Sui Southern Winter Gas Supply Schedule Announced
Sui Southern Gas Company has announced a winter schedule that will leave consumers without gas every night between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. in Sindh, citing a severe supply shortage.
The utility stated that the decision is part of its seasonal adjustments plan to better manage resources. The company’s spokesperson explained that the revised schedule follows the load-management framework approved by the Economic Coordination Committee.
The company did not plan to load-shed for residential users in Sindh and Balochistan. She said that the sharp decline in gas availability has forced a nighttime shutdown, which is necessary to replenish line-packs for domestic demand the following day.
The spokesperson stated that the shortage would also impact the CNG industry, which will be subject to periodic closures each week as part of a broader conservation initiative.
